FWF Microfinance’s Board of Directors (BoD) jointly oversee the activities of the Bank and offers guidance in its operations. It has ultimate responsibility for the success of the Bank and for Delivering sustainable shareholder value within a framework of product and effective risk and management controls.
Eric Bredu Twumasi – Chairman
Holds a Doctorate in finance with Walden University. He has worked as internal auditor/finance manager in many corporate organizations including Cashpro Company Limited, Vodafone Ghana , Glo Mobile, Essienswiss International Capital Holdings and currently as the Finance Manager of EIB Networks Limited which is part of the HODA Group which comprises Unibank, Unicredit, Star Assurance ,Star Life ,Unisecurities , Unipercision, Alban Logistics etc.
Mr. Robert Mensah Aheto – CEO
Mr. Robert Mensah Aheto is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He has over seventeen (17) years’ experience in microfinance and has studied Microfinance Operations at GIMPA. He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance from Methodist University College, Ghana. Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting option) at Ho Polytechnic now Ho Technical University. Other skills acquired are Effective Leadership in Management and Administration from University of Ghana Business School, Credit Risk Management from Core Career Development Consult (CCDC).He was an Administrator at Narh-Bitah Hospital, Tema and Internal Auditor at Freedom Hotel, Ho. He is currently the Head of Finance and Administration at Church of Christ, Mataheko Assembly.
Charles Binney – Head Of Credit Committee
He holds MBA in Marketing and Bachelor in Education – Science, from Cape Coast University and University of Education Winneba respectively. Currently studying MSc in Total Quality Management at University of Professional Studies-Accra. He was a Chemistry Teacher at Tema Technical Institute, Sales and Marketing Manager at Samteco Service, Project Coordinator at ACI Construction & Restoration, Business Development Manager-Private Sector at ACIC Ltd. He worked as the Operations Manager at EMG Multimedia. He is currently the Business Development Manager at Datalink University College in Tema.
Mr. Michael Zigah – Non-Executive Director
Mr. Michael Laud Zigah is a seasoned legal and finance professional with a strong background in law, administration, and financial management. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at FWF Microfinance Ltd, bringing to the Board a diverse blend of expertise in legal practice, governance, and strategic oversight.
A qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Mr. Zigah holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from GIMPA, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies, and an HND in Accountancy from Accra Polytechnic. He is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Tax Law, Policy and Practice at the University of Ghana.
Over the years, he has served in key roles across both public and private sectors, including legal support at the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA), performance evaluation at the State Enterprise Commission, and operational coordination at Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Ltd. He also practices law with Casely Brooke, providing expert legal counsel to a range of clients.
Mr. Zigah is known for his integrity, analytical thinking, and commitment to corporate governance. His leadership and legal acumen continue to contribute significantly to the strategic direction and regulatory compliance of FWF Microfinance Ltd.
